GERE Solus Merlot 2018

The emblematic top wine of the winery, made only in the best years. 100% Merlot, vinification partly in steel tanks, partly in wooden vats, aged in new Hungarian barrique.
It paints a deep dark, blackish ink, purple reflexes, and dense curves on the wall of the glass. Lively nose of mulberry and tobacco, with lots of layers on the palate and good proportions. Salty, mineral fruity notes and sweet spices that create an extraordinary richness of wine aroma. Plums, raspberries and cherries dominate the taste of the wine, into which cocoa-coffee notes are integrated. When tasted, the wine accompanies the wine with a vigorous, good acidity, highlighting the ripe fruits. The tight tannins hold the wine nicely, guaranteeing many more years during bottle maturation.
