Montale returned from the Kingdom of Arabia 20 years ago, he discovered oud in the 90s. He was introduced to scents by the royal family itself.
Among the multitude of oriental fragrances, the oud scent made a particular impression on him. A real olfactory trend that came directly from the Arabian Peninsula, oud is a material with a strong smell and endless combinatorial abilities. Perfumed ointment from Asia, widely used in the countries of the Gulf and Saudi Arabia, the fragrance comes from the oil of oud wood. The extraction of this oil is the result of a thousand-year-old process that has been kept secret for many years. It gives off a woody, sweet and spicy fragrance.
