Catfish react particularly strongly to high-frequency lures. Moreover, they spend most of the day on the bottom. When spinning for catfish, this automatically means you need to use lures that meet these requirements. Say hello to the Cat Crank :-)

Compared to larger models, small cranks emit significantly higher frequency vibrations into the water. This gives small cranks an advantage in the catfish hunt.

The Cat Crank is the first small crankbait that is truly stable enough for targeted catfishing. It also fulfills other important characteristics for catfishing that no other wobblers on the market can match.

Until recently, we had to adapt other perch, zander, or pike cranks for catfish spinning. We had to replace the treble hooks and split rings. To maintain sufficient stability, we also connected the split rings with leader material. This resulted in somewhat cumbersome cranks that lost buoyancy due to the heavier split rings and treble hooks. Nevertheless, these modified lures were the best we could use. Thankfully, that time is now over.

The Cat Crank features a body that appears narrower from above than conventional cranks. Combined with its wide diving lip, it runs 'tight' and stable in the current. It also reaches its maximum dive depth quickly.

We recommend our Evo Cat Spin with a casting weight of 100 g (length depending on the area of use), Silent Leader in 0.7 mm as leader material, a 0.33 Hulk Line as main line, and a Twistlock Snap as a carabiner. Alternatively, you can use a thin Mono Leader Pro (0.78 mm or 0.91 mm) as leader material instead of the Silent Leader.

When it comes to lure retrieval, the rule is: monotonous reeling works best. The Cat Crank can occasionally touch the bottom. However, it also catches fish in the mid-water when the catfish are active.
