The Vickers Wellington is a British twin-engine basic medium night bomber from the Second World War. From October 1940 it was also used by Polish aviation in Great Britain. This extremely successful aircraft was produced from 1937 until the end of the war in 1945. It was produced in many different variants, which differed in their equipment, but not in their basic design. Due to their low maneuverability, the Wellingtons mainly flew at night. They were also perfect for coastal patrols and submarine hunters. They were equally famous for their high resistance to damage sustained in combat.
The British Vickers Wellington bomber has been accurately reproduced from COBI bricks in 1:37 scale. The aircraft is 53 cm long and has a wingspan of 71.5 cm. Creating such a huge model required the use of up to 1,162 elements. The Set contains precise prints that will not rub off with intensive use. History buffs will appreciate the printed historical markings of the 305th Bomb Squadron of the Wielkopolska and Lidzka region. Marshal Józef Piłsudski. There was even a symbol of a duck carrying a bomb! The plane has rotating propellers, folding wheels and an open cabin where you can place two pilots included in the Set. The hatch on the bottom of the plane opens and bomb traps can be placed there. The whole Set is completed by a building block with the name of the set.
This giant building block bomber model is not only a lot of fun to build, but also a detailed exploration of history. Build a story block by block with COBI!
