The Rail 9.5 is a high-quality e-mountain bike with a carbon frame and lots of suspension travel for brutal descents. The OCLV Mountain Carbon frame offers the same high-end features as our non-electric trail bikes, but the powerful Bosch drive system quickly pushes you back up the mountain so you have more time for the really fun parts.

An OCLV Mountain Carbon frame with 150mm rear travel, a fully integrated 625Wh battery, a 160mm travel eMTB-optimized RockShox 35 Gold RL fork, a powerful 250W Bosch Performance Line CX motor Power and 85 Nm of torque for pedal assistance up to 25 km/h and a Purion controller. In addition, there is a Shimano Deore 1x12 drive with a wide range of gear ratios for an optimal cadence at all times, a variable seat post, powerful hydraulic 4-piston disc brakes for more confidence on descents and 29-inch wheels from Bontrager with agile yet grippy 2.6-inch wide tires.

Our last word

Even though this rail is the most affordable rail with a carbon frame, it still convinces across the board. You get high-quality suspension with plenty of travel, a best-in-class Bosch drive unit, and an outstanding OCLV Mountain Carbon frame.

 

Why you will love it

The Rail doesn't need to hide from its non-supported siblings. It literally pushes you up the climbs, eliminating the need for a shuttle or lift.

The Purion controller has a Walk Assist function and an intelligent eMTB mode that automatically provides the required power depending on the terrain.

It comes with the same exclusive frame technologies as the Remedy and the Slash - such as the Mino Link adjustable geometry, the Straight Shot down tube for extra stiffness and Active Braking Pivot (ABP).

The Bosch motor provides plenty of power, so you can master steep climbs with energy-saving efficiency.

Trek's Removable Integrated Battery System (RIB) looks good and is user-friendly: The battery is fully integrated into the frame and is therefore well protected, but can be easily removed without tools and offers space for a drinking bottle holder.

New Bosch Performance Line CX

The new Bosch Performance Line CX motor is lighter, smaller and quieter than its predecessors and impresses with better integration and more agile handling. It's also more efficient, so you can go further on one charge. The intelligent eMTB mode automatically adjusts the level of support to changing terrain. After a one-off setting, this mode always delivers exactly the power you need so that you can fully concentrate on having fun driving.

 

Special eMTB Lite mode

Instead of a tour mode, Trek eMTBs have a special eMTB Lite mode. This mode offers more natural power delivery and longer battery life.

 

Removable Integrated Battery

RIB (Removable Integrated Battery) is a one-piece battery and cover combination with a built-in handle that can be easily removed from the frame and replaced without tools. Thanks to this feature, it is extremely convenient to remove the battery from the bike for transport, for securing or for easier charging.

 

OCLV Mountain Carbon

Thanks to exclusive materials and precise lay-up processes, the most advanced construction methods and particularly strict test standards, the carbon specially developed by Trek for mountain bikes is extremely robust.

Geometry adjustable via Mino Link

Adjust the steering angle (by 0.5°) and the bottom bracket height (by up to 10 mm) by simply turning a threaded nut. Turn the threaded nut and choose between a slack and an even slacker geometry without affecting the performance of the chassis. Exclusive to Trek.

 

Integrated speed sensor

The integrated speed sensor makes your life easier. The chainstay sensor is perfectly protected, while the special magnet integrated into the hub is optimally positioned - so error messages due to a misaligned sensor are a thing of the past.

 
Bosch Purion display

The Bosch Purion backlit display is a fully functional speedometer that also shows the service interval and battery life. Its thoughtful design allows the rider to scroll through the functions or select the desired support level without having to take their hands off the handlebars.

 

Complete tubeless system

Tubeless Ready rims and tires make it easy to convert to a tubeless system - for more traction, fewer punctures and lighter weight. Thanks to the included TLR rim strips, TLR valves and sealant, you can start converting immediately.

 

Knock block

Knock Block protects your frame when things don't go smoothly. The steering stop prevents your handlebars from being turned completely in the event of a fall, in order to avoid excessive pull on your cables and to prevent the handlebars from contacting the top tube.
