Tourbillon - Châteauneuf du pape confidential white 2018 0.75l

Overlooking the village of Châteauneuf du Pape, this small parcel benefits from an exposure particularly favorable to the ripening of the grapes and to the elaboration of this grand cru.
The roussanes, clairettes and white grenaches express themselves marvelously on this sandy terroir.
This cuvée unveils with elegance and finesse, aromas of white fruits and notes of toast.

Terroir

A few hundred meters from the castle of Chateauneuf du Pape, sandy and filtering soil.

Grape varieties

60% Grenache blanc, 20% Clairette, 20% Roussanne

Culture

Method of reasoned culture, respect of the soil and the plant.
The mechanical work of the soil gives a good aeration and thus supports the microbial life of this one. The trellising allows a good aeration and a better maturity of the harvest.
The severe disbudding allows to control the yield of the parcels.

Harvest

Attentive to an optimal maturity of the grapes, the harvest is carried out in small containers to preserve the grapes intact.
Manual selective sorting, the whole reception chain having been designed to respect the integrity of the raw material.

Vinification

Direct pressing in an inert pneumatic press, with whole grapes.
Settling at a temperature of 12°C to keep the best of the quality.
Low temperature vinification directly in barrels, on fine lees. Aging in oak barrels for 4 months.
Only tool, a peristaltic pump and gravity to respect the best integrity of the wine.

Tasting notes

Pale greenish yellow color, subtle nose with citrus fruits, pear and dried fruits notes; balanced mouth with a fine grain, saline and acidulous, persistence of the nose aromas.

Serving temperature : 12° C

To be drunk now as an aperitif or with fish and shellfish.

Ageing potential: up to 10 years.
