Forono beet is a firm, juicy and tasty variety. It produces cylindrical beets without rings, which are easy to use in the kitchen without a lot of cleaning waste. The beets can be used cooked, as salad vegetables, for wet preserves, as juice and as a coloring agent for food. The seeds can be sown from April to June in a sunny location. A humus-rich, deep, moist and loose soil is ideal. The beets can be harvested from August to October for use in the kitchen or for storage.
