August Queen royal armchair

Step right into the fairy-tale castle of the Queen of Hearts. Feel like Alice in Wonderland, who ventures for the first time into the enchanted castle and thus plunges deep into the secrets of other worlds. Playful and luxurious at once, this armchair also lends your home royal flair.

The design is based on paintings by Jean-Pierre Calteux (1911-1983), one of the best-known and most beloved Luxembourgish artists of his time. By purchasing this product you help me revive the myth of my grandfather.

Each individual chair is handmade to order in the studio of my production partner Contrado in London. Delivery in as little as 5-10 days. The frame, the longer front legs, and the shorter rear legs are made from noble FSC-certified beech wood, softly padded and upholstered with smooth ChiChi Velours. The fabric is printed with the design before upholstering to guarantee an almost seamless finish.

HOW WE MAKE THE UPHOLSTERED ARMCHAIR

We are proud that each chair is produced from start to finish in Contrado's studio in London. The design is printed on rolls of our ChiChi Velours and then cut by hand. Contrado uses a specialized printing process that makes the motif durable and colorfast. The chair frame is made of sustainable beech wood and is assembled by hand and padded. Finally, the chair is upholstered with the printed fabric and, after a final check, sent on its way to you.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Our ChiChi Velours is water-repellent and therefore particularly easy to care for. Wipe the upholstered chair with a damp cloth to remove dirt. To keep the surface supple, we recommend occasionally brushing the fabric with a clothes brush.
