Geppetto, a poor Italian carpenter, makes a puppet from a piece of wood that cries, laughs and speaks like a child, a puppet that he names Pinocchio and that he loves like the son he never had.

Disobedient and willingly a liar, Pinocchio will find himself drawn into numerous adventures: he will meet Fire Eater, the puppet showman, the Cat and the Fox who will turn out not to be the good friends they claim, he will leave for the Land of Toys, a wonderful place where school doesn't exist... Because this little puppet hates work, scoffs at good advice and loves doing mischief. Fortunately the Blue-Haired Fairy watches over him.
