Description

LGB 22963 Rh 2095 G Gauge Diesel Locomotive 1:22.5The

majority of the 760 mm gauge narrow gauge lines operated by the ÖBB at the end of the 1950s were still using steam locomotives that were already considerably old. To make operation on these lines more efficient, ÖBB decided to procure appropriate diesel locomotives. Between 1958 and 1962, Simmering-Graz-Pauker delivered a total of 15 of the 2095 series. These four-axle locomotives, weighing 31 tons and measuring 10.40 metres in length, were able to significantly speed up train operations with their 600 hp and top speed of 60 km/h. Typical of these small but compact locomotives is the rod drive in the bogies - this was necessary as only one wheelset in each bogie could be driven directly via the gearbox. Incidentally, the layout of the locomotive body on the first 3 locomotives - the prototypes - was different to that of the series, as these were still fitted with a steam boiler, which was then no longer installed in the series. Even today - at 65 years old - these locomotives are still in operation, mainly on the Pinzgaubahn, but also on other narrow-gauge railroads in Austria.

highlights

  • 2 high-performance motors.

  • Headlights can be controlled digitally.

  • With sound.

  • Completely redesigned model.

This is a model of an ÖBB class 2095 diesel locomotive as it was used on many narrow gauge railroads in Austria and still is in some cases.
The paint scheme and lettering are prototypical Era IV orange. Four wheel sets powered by two powerful motors. Equipped with an mfx/DCC decoder with many light and sound functions. New inset windows, lighting with LEDs. Length over coupler 45 cm.

Together with the 34621 passenger car, the 43621 stake car, and the 49184 roll car, a typical train can be recreated as it was used on the Pinzgau local line in the 1970's.
