The standout feature of the Levenhuk 50L PLUS microscopes is their high magnification. With the 2x Barlow lens, magnifications of 64x, 128x, 160x, 320x, 640x, and even 1280x can be achieved. Levenhuk Rainbow 50L PLUS microscopes are equipped with a spring-loaded lens. If this lens contacts the slide during focusing, the spring mechanism protects the optics from damage. The microscopes have rugged metal housings that ensure a long life even with intensive use in schools, universities, or medical laboratories.

Each microscope is shipped in a special plastic carrying case that protects the instrument from dust and mechanical damage. High magnification

The microscope is supplied with three objective lenses. The most powerful lens (40x) features a spring mechanism to protect the optics. If the objective lens is accidentally lowered too far and touches the specimen, it retracts to prevent damage. Also included is a 2x Barlow lens, which doubles magnification. The microscope delivers magnifications from 64x up to 1280x in its standard configuration.

The optics are made of high-quality, highly transparent glass. The lenses are coated with a special anti-reflection multi-coating. This keeps the image bright, clear, and high-contrast – which is especially important when working at high magnifications.

Combined illumination – suitable for a wide range of samples

This model is equipped with two LED lighting systems. The lower illumination is used for viewing transparent samples. This allows you to examine bee wings or visualize microorganisms in aquarium water, for example. The upper illumination enables viewing opaque objects such as paper or metal. This model can also be used for working with semi-transparent objects when both light sources are on. The brightness of the illumination systems is adjustable.

Ergonomic and reliable

The microscope features a very reliable and robust metal housing. The 45° inclined and 360° rotating head provides maximum comfort when using the instrument. If several people are using the microscope at the same time, they can simply rotate the head and do not need to move the entire microscope.

The microscope can also be used outdoors, as the illumination system can be powered either from mains power or AA standard batteries.

CAUTION: In most European countries, mains voltage is 220–240 V. If the device is to be used in a country with a different mains voltage, a voltage transformer must be used.

Experiment Set

The Levenhuk Rainbow 50L PLUS microscope is shipped together with a special Experimentier-Set. The Levenhuk K50 Experimentier-Set is designed for children and adult beginners who can carry out their first independent experiments with it. We recommend starting with the pre-prepared slides and only then, after gaining initial experience, preparing your own samples with the included tools.
