Description

Description The Levenhuk Rainbow 50L Mikroskop Amethyst\Amethyst is a perfect instrument for anyone who wants to become familiar with the mysteries of the micro world. The wide magnification range allows studying a large number of different samples. With this microscope you can examine onion cells, and it is suitable for finding out whether bacteria really live in yogurt, to discover the invisible microorganisms in the water of an aquarium, to look at paper fibers in great detail, and many other exciting things. The Levenhuk Rainbow 50L Mikroskop Amethyst\Amethyst stands out among biological microscopes – its friendly amethyst color makes working with the microscope even more enjoyable. All this makes this microscope a wonderful gift for ambitious beginners.

High magnification
This model is equipped with three objective lenses offering 40x, 100x, and 400x magnification. The magnification can be easily changed. To do this you simply rotate the nosepiece. The included 2x Barlow lens doubles the magnification of each objective, so the microscope can reach up to 800x magnification.

All optical elements are made of high-quality, highly transparent glass. To improve light transmission, the lenses are coated multiple times. Such a design yields very detailed, sharp, and clear images.

Double illumination
All microscopes in the Levenhuk Rainbow 50L series are equipped with two LED illumination systems. The lower light source is intended for transmitted-light observations. This way you can observe microorganisms in a drop of aquarium water or study the cell structure of an onion skin. The upper light enables working with opaque objects. For example, it allows the inner structure of various papers and textiles to be seen. To observe semi-transparent samples, both light sources must be on. A smooth brightness adjustment mechanism makes it easy to find the best lighting for each sample.

User-friendly design
The microscope has a robust yet lightweight plastic housing. For especially comfortable posture during observation, the microscope head is tilted 45° and can rotate 360° around its own axis. This is very practical when several people work together – you simply rotate the head; the instrument stays in place. The illumination can be powered from a socket or by batteries.

CAUTION: In most European countries the mains voltage is 220–240 V. If the device is to be used in a country with a different mains voltage, a voltage transformer must be used.

Experiment Kit
The microscope comes with a Levenhuk K50 Experiment Kit, whose contents make the first observations exciting and frustration-free. With the pre-prepared slides included in the kit you can start right away. Later you can prepare your own samples. The kit includes useful tools and a detailed accompanying booklet that contains all important information about microscopes and microscopy, as well as descriptions of the most interesting experiments.

Practical case
The microscope is delivered in a practical plastic case. It can be stored and protected from dust or transported without the risk of mechanical damage.
