Leo Hillinger - Constantia Hill red 2017, 0.75 l

Twice a year, Leo HILLINGER travels to South Africa, where he vinifies the Constantia HILL red and white wines together with Alexander Waibel and winemaker Justin Van Wyk.
The unusual composition of Petit Verdot, Malbec, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon not only gives the Constantia HILL red an intense, dark purple color, which is surrounded by a short, purple rim. The combination also contributes to its intense nose of blackcurrants, ripe peppers, blackberries and blueberries, with aromas of nettles and dried fruit mixed in. On the palate, the wine develops a dry, juicy and supportive acidity, characterized by a firm body. The bell pepper and berry tones reappear on the palate, where ripe vanilla and a delicate roasted aroma are also evident. The animating, powerful, full-bodied, long finish shows the wine's greatness once again. Contains sulphites.
Constantia HILL red is classified as a "Wine of Origin" in South Africa.
