Get ready for a Pokémon adventure like never before!

Hundreds of years before the Pokémon Sparkling Diamond and Pokémon Sparkling Pearl adventures, you're plunged into the largely unexplored region of Hisui (now known as Sinnoh)! A world full of possibilities lies ahead, and you've been given a mission: to build the very first Pokédex in this region. As you explore the world, you'll watch for Pokémon in their environment and throw the ancestor of the Poké Ball to try to catch them in real time. Tougher opponents will require the help of your Pokémon in intense battles, but keep in mind that in this world, they will also be real allies in collecting resources! The Legendary Arceus is at the heart of the story, what role will this powerful Pokémon play in your adventure?

Congratulations, you've been chosen by the Galaxy Group to be part of the Seeker Corps!

In this elite unit of your home village, Rusti-Cité, your mission is to assist Professor Lavender in his work of documenting Pokémon species in order to elaborate the very first Pokédex of the region. Indeed, at that time, the links with Pokémon are still rare: Trainers, Arena, League... all that does not exist yet!

Missions are waiting for you at the headquarters! To validate and complete a Pokémon's entry in the Pokédex, you must complete all the tasks dedicated to it (and not just catch it once). This way, you contribute to the work of the Galaxy Group and increase your rank. The higher your rank, the more areas you can explore.

Visit the various wooden shops to stock up on items (potions, rocks and traps) before your missions, to change your haircut at the Hair Art or even your style at the Textile House!

In the heart of the bustling city, meet colorful characters from all over Hisui; don't hesitate to do them a favor in side quests to obtain rare items.

Discover the majestic nature of the Hisui region... on the back of a Pokémon!

Explore large open areas by day and night to discover all the secrets and Pokémon to the rhythm of a memorable soundtrack: the Obsidian Plains, covered in flowers and forests, the snow-covered Crowned Mountain in all seasons, or the beaches of Hisui!

As you progress, you'll be able to play your Celestial Flute and ride new Pokémon such as Cerbyllin to gallop across the plains or Gueriaigle to glide through the air!

Once in the heart of nature, collect as many resources as possible with the help of your Pokémon and don't hesitate to set up a bivouac to rest your team and make new tools including Poké Ball!

How do you catch a wild Pokémon?

Meet them: Pokémon are more or less hidden in Hisui, or will only appear in certain contexts such as during a specific weather condition or by hitting a tree!

Watch for them: unlike in traditional Pokémon games, you'll have to be more patient and cautious. Fearful Pokémon will run away at the slightest noise from you, while aggressive Pokémon will charge you! Once your target is in sight, crouch down until you are within throwing distance of... Poké Ball.

Weaken them and catch them: for the most common Pokémon, a precise Poké Ball throw will be enough, for others you'll have to weaken them with projectiles or send a Pokémon to initiate a fight!

Let's fight!

Dive into dynamic and strategic battles! The interface of the battle attacks is added with fluidity on the classic 3rd person view for more immersion. New in this opus, your Pokémon can opt for Fast or Powerful Styles that you choose before each attack and that influence their velocity or their efficiency, to the detriment of the other.

Confront the Monarch Pokémon: very powerful, they reign in their ecosystem, protected by a Guardian, like the terrible Hachécateur in the Obsidian Plains. Meeting them will advance your adventure and your knowledge of the Pokémon world!

Barons: These red-eyed Pokémon are usually much stronger than you, so you'll have to dodge their charged attacks. These formidable opponents can be great allies if you can catch them.
