Description
Jean L'Aveugle (1296- 1346), Count of Luxembourg and King of Bohemia, was born at Altmunster Abbey and died fighting at the Battle of Crécy.Yvette Gastauer has brought her talent to bear in celebrating this colorful character, depicted in a fighting posture among his soldiers. The reverse bears the inscription 'Jean l'Aveugle roi de Bohème Comte de Luxembourg'.
