Characteristics of the wine
Vinification: with natural ferments, maceration with partially immersed marc in 5-6 days
Aging: traditionally 12-15 months in Slavonian oak barrels
Bottle aging: 6 months before being put on sale
Organoleptic characteristics: Well structured and complex, intense bouquet of red fruits, especially cherries and strawberries. Aromas of flowers and spices. Wonderful to age up to 8 years.
Food Pairings: Pair with aperitif dishes such as various cold cuts of ham, salami, lardo as well as Alba beef tartare, vitello tonnato, pasta, and in general with meat dishes and well-aged cheeses.
