Kantha Y Necklace

We've fallen in love with Worldfinds, a brand founded in 2001 in the United States by Kelly Weinberger, whose mission is to empower women through fair trade.

Their jewelry and accessories create work for over 700 artisans in vulnerable communities in India. All products are lovingly handcrafted, providing a living wage and safe working conditions for their artisans, as well as preserving the techniques and culture that underpin Kantha.

All Kantha jewelry is handcrafted from wood scraps from furniture factories and reused sari and kantha textiles. This reduces waste while improving the lives of the artisans.

Three strands of recycled kantha textile beads are linked to gold metal wires and completed by a gold chain fringe suspended from the longest wire. Each piece is made from recycled Kantha textiles, so colors and patterns are all unique and will vary.
