At the beginning of 2015, 11 friends working in different professions meet to realize the idea of making a gin for personal use. What follows is a year of discussions and trials with different blends of botanicals.
The experiments were finally successful, so that today the final product Ginix can compete with the best gins.
The process: The basis of the flavor of Ginix is a blend of 19 carefully selected herbs. The process of making Ginix is called steam infusion or percolation.
A mixture of alcohol and heated water releases an alcohol vapor that gently flows through a copper basket filled with the blend of the 19 aromatic plants. In this way, each plant in the blend uniquely contributes to the exceptional flavor of Ginix.
How to serve Ginix:
1.Ginix is served with tonic and lemon or orange zest. We recommend using a glass with a fairly large opening.
2. put many ice cubes in the glass and let everything stand for 5 minutes.
3. once the glass has cooled (remove the thawed water), add 5 cl Ginix.
4. stir the glass well.
5. pour 15 cl of tonic along the side of the glass.
6. add lemon zest for a spicier gin or orange zest for a slightly more flavored gin.
