ECO Cashmere 50g

The philosophy of sustainability!

Eco Cashmere is a 100% recycled cashmere. It is produced in a renowned Italian spinning mill near Florence. First, pure cashmere garments are collected and sorted by color. After a thorough cleaning, each garment is closely inspected for damaged areas, x-rayed and examined. Of course, it is tested whether it is really pure cashmere. During the cutting of the garments, buttons, seams, zippers, etc. are removed. All these operations are done by hand. Only then does the machine production process begin. The cashmere fabric is cut in machines until fine flakes are created from it. These flakes are the basis from which a new yarn can be spun. First the flakes are carded, creating a fleece, and in the next step the new yarn is spun.

The recycling process for Eco Cashmere does not change the beneficial properties of cashmere. Due to its fine hairs, the precious yarn is very productive and light, the material consumption is lower than for other wools. In addition, it is heat balancing, absorbs moisture and is odor and stain resistant.
