Supplementary feed for laying hens

Feed in a 2:1 ratio with Körner extra, Körner Deluxe, or grain two weeks before the start and during the laying period. Towards the end of the laying period (shortly before molting) and also generally for older laying hens, providing oyster shells in a separate feeder can be beneficial.

Ideally, feed Legemehl / Legekorn in the morning before the birds start laying and grain feed in the evening. The daily requirement for a modern laying hen (hybrid of about 1.5 kg body weight) is about 120 grams per bird per day. That means 80 g Legemehl/Legekorn plus 40 g grain feed per bird per day.
