This Chinon Guy Saget is a 100% Cabernet Franc cuvée. The grapes are completely destemmed after harvesting. The fruity aromas are extracted through pre-fermentation cold maceration and regular punching down and pumping over during fermentation. To respect the taste of the grapes, malolactic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks.
This Cabernet Franc has an attractive garnet-red color, deep and intense in the purest Chinon appellation style. The nose expresses red fruit, with hints of musk and undergrowth. The palate confirms the aromas of the nose, with velvety tannins and persistent length.
Food pairing:
This fine red wine from the Loire region goes wonderfully well with meats such as flank steak with shallots, quail with grapes or duck confit.
