\Here is the red wine of Bordeaux, Château Le Pape 2019. It is a very fine wine from the Pessac-Léognan appellation.
Benefiting from the experience and expertise of the Château Haut-Bailly teams, the Château Le Pape vineyard is thriving in the wake of its elder brother and is building a personality, vintage after vintage. The wines have thus gained in depth and length, while retaining their characteristic freshness. The work of renovation of the vineyard undertaken since 2012 has borne fruit again this year. The limitation of the yields, the reasoned protection and the traditional work of the ground encouraged the vine to deploy a deep rooting, which allows not only to reduce the impact of the climatic excesses (a diluvian spring followed by an arid summer), but also to reveal the great potential of the terroir of the Pape. More balanced, the vineyard produces grapes concentrated in phenolic and aromatic compounds.
The result is increasingly structured and elegant wines, with a beautiful matter.
The blend of Château Le Pape 2019 is the following: 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon. It is marked by greedy and fruity Merlots. Its round and fleshy tannins bring a nice density.
