Description

Le Jardin is a parcel apart, the quintessence of La Renommée's philosophy. Cultivating one's garden means giving the best of oneself, developing a harmony in the vineyard that will be reflected in the wine as it evolves in the bottle. This cuvée is therefore the object of all the attention and care. All the work in the vineyard is done by hand without the use of a tractor. The soils are cultivated with a horse so as not to compact the soil. The vine shoots are tied up in the old way with vines. The work in green is numerous and meticulous throughout the season. The harvest is manual, often done by the associates of the GFV de la Renommée for what constitutes each year a high point and a form of reward.

The vinification is carried out in 500-liter French oak barrels to gently extract the richness of Merlot, the king of right bank grapes. The wine is aged for 18 months to 2 years in new French oak barrels. It is a long-keeping wine that will be a pleasure to drink with your best meals and good moments to share.

Le Jardin produces each year about 1200 bottles.
