Comtesse du Barry offers you a cuvée for all occasions, remarkable for the finesse of its bubbles.
Elegant, balanced and delicately fruity, this AOC champagne is easy to drink on any occasion. It has been subtly elaborated from the 3 Champagne grape varieties: Pinot Meunier, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir.
Since 1855, the Charpentier family has been cultivating vines in Champagne, on the southern slopes of the Marne Valley
Today, Jean-Marc and Céline Charpentier perpetuate the family know-how and the values received in heritage, in their unique vineyard of Character in the Marne Valley.
Pairings : very lively, this champagne is a must for aperitif and will be the ideal companion of your starters.
It goes perfectly with foie gras, foie gras-based products and fish.
Tasting notes: this champagne has a golden yellow color and a nose of fresh fruit (tangerine, black currant). Its mouth is fresh and greedy, supported by a creamy effervescence. The finish is well balanced and persistent, with an aerial return evoking tangerine and blackcurrant.
Presentation of the Domain :
Location : 72 parcels are spread over several crus of the Marne Valley around Charly Sur Marne.
Grape variety : the originality of this champagne lies in a unique grape variety for this Champagne region, normally dominated by 90% Pinot Meunier. However, almost half of the vineyard is occupied by Chardonnay, accompanied by Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir. This unique specificity has its importance in the expression of this champagne.
Viticulture: the exceptional exposure of the vineyard in the heart of the hillsides has favored for 25 years the implementation of a model of sustainable viticulture. The high expression and the aromatic structure of the grapes favour a more pronounced evocation of the terroir, thus taking precedence over yields. Some parcels are now organically cultivated.
Pinot Meunier: the second most planted grape variety in the world, it gives champagne all its fruity character.
Chardonnay : the most cultivated grape variety in the world, it gives delicate and perfumed champagnes.
Pinot Noir : the king grape variety in Burgundy, it offers inimitable champagnes with a great aromatic complexity.
