True lovers of the land and of wine, the BERGERE family began its viticultural history in 1949. It is at this time and with an exceptional entrepreneurial spirit that Albert BERGERE starts to elaborate his own champagne under his own brand by exploiting the family vineyards. He then reveals himself, like a pioneer, as the Founder of Champagne A. BERGERE.

The transmission of the land, the know-how and the knowledge being essential within the clan, it is in an absolute logic that André, the youngest of his 3 children, decides to take over the torch. With the brilliant support of Brigitte MARTIN, who became his wife in 1986, André gave the Maison Bergère a major boost: the vineyard expanded considerably.

It is spread over the terroirs of Fèrebrianges, Etoges, Congy, Sézanne, Bethon, Charly-sur-Marne, Pavant, Mont Saint Père, Essomes, but also Mesnil sur Oger, Oger, Avize, Chouilly and Cramant... All the pearls of the Côte des Blancs.

Thus, the supply of grapes from renowned villages and prestigious terroirs of the Champagne region, come each year to complete the harvest, offering a wide range of possibilities in the blends.

THE VINEYARD A. BERGERE
The richness of the three Champagne grape varieties: Chardonnay (50%), Pinot Noir (30%) and Pinot Meunier (20%) is used to good effect to create wines of reference. Each bottle of the A. BERGERE range reflects the purest expression of the cuvée and its original terroir and is respectful of the Champagne tradition.
