Castrol MAGNATEC Diesel 5W-40 DPF is a HC-Synthetic low-friction engine oil. The formulation of this engine oil is based on special molecular structures that contain polar additive components. These provide a high level of adhesion to the components in the engine. Even when the engine is switched off, a monomolecular boundary layer remains on the metal surfaces, which protects the engine against wear the next time it is started and during the subsequent warm-up phase.Castrol MAGNATEC Diesel 5W-40 DPF can be used in many passenger cars with petrol or diesel engines, and the modern low ash formulation of this product is also recommended for Opel brand vehicles that require engine lubricants in accordance with the GM dexos2 specification. Here, the lubricant can also be used fully backwards-compatible in older models according to GM-LL-025-A or -B.
