Description

NEW - now including a high-quality objective sun filter for safe observation of sunspots, eclipses, and planetary transits. A high-quality telescope for night and solar observation.
The BRESSER Messier 6-inch Planetary-Dobson is something quite special. It offers a range of features and quality that, despite the low price, you might otherwise have to pay much more for. With an aperture of 150 mm and a long 1200 mm focal length of the color-corrected mirror optics, observing the Moon, the planets and planetary nebulae is particularly easy. The craters and grooves of the Moon as well as the rapidly changing shadow at the so-called terminator, are exciting observing targets. Saturn with its imposing ring, Jupiter with the cloud belts and the movement of its easily visible moons, the crescent shape of Venus and the reddish glow Mars are good examples of what this telescope can be used for.

Because of the long base focal length you can achieve the high magnifications you need with this telescope quite easily. For this you do not need expensive special eyepieces. In short, this is a telescope primarily for detailed observation. Nevertheless, bright deep-sky objects such as the Orion Nebula or the galaxies Messier 81 and 82 etc. can also be well observed.

Photography with this optical tube is also no problem. Here is another strength of this telescope: if you want to take photos, you can simply unscrew the altitude wheels from the tube and mount them on an optional dovetail rail to a parallactic mount - astrophotography is then no obstacle. The eyepiece adapter included in the package even has the common T2 thread (M42x0.75 mm), to which almost any commercially available camera can be attached. For this, only the camera-specific T2 adapter ring is additionally required. Of course, standard USB planetary cameras with 1.25-inch or 2-inch interface can also be used directly with this telescope.

With the starter equipment you can observe immediately - an optical 6x30 finder as well as a 25 mm Super Plössl eyepiece are included with the device. If you want to transport the device as compactly as possible, it is especially easy with the new 6-inch BRESSER Messier Planetary-Dobson - the rocker box can be disassembled with a few simple steps because the parts are connected with metal quick-release clamps. This turns a bulky rocker box into a handy flat package quickly.
A telescope whose versatility, performance and user-friendliness set new benchmarks in this price range.
Please note that Newtonian reflectors of this design are very good for astronomical observations at the night sky, but not well suited for nature and landscape observations during the day. For nature and landscape observations we therefore recommend BRESSER refractor telescopes.
