We are constantly working on minimizing our environmental impact. This includes, among other things, using energy and raw materials sparingly. Tanneries are located in government designated and controlled modern areas. Water quantities are strictly rationalized. Wastewater is pre- and post-treatment according to regulations. Import and export of materials is closely controlled and taxed.

Together with the tanneries, we continuously develop our recipes and provide them with intensive support in raising their social and ecological standards. For example, a large proportion of our leather comes from tanneries that are members of the Leather Working Group, where they have been able to achieve "Gold Member" status by complying with strict criteria.
