The AE100 series introduces a number of evolutionary improvements and changes all focused on refining the listening experience while providing a more user-friendly loudspeaker. AE has introduced an AE1 Active WDT tweeter, which creates much better dispersion in the room, as well as rear port placement for less midrange coloration and better bass response. At the same time, the exterior design has been improved for a more elegant appearance and a smaller footprint that should work well in a wide variety of environments.

The AE100 is a compact shelf/support loudspeaker with qualities that perfectly embody those of acoustic energy. It has been designed with the aim of achieving high sound pressure levels from an extremely small enclosure. This is achieved primarily through the use of a 10.2 cm mid-bass unit built around an ultra-high-strength, long-throw motor system.

Bass performance is enhanced by a slot-shaped duct allowing a considerable cross-sectional area while eliminating air turbulence problems. A 28 mm soft-dome tweeter featuring our wide-dispersion technology completes the compliment, housed in an 18 mm MDF cabinet. Taking design cues from the award-winning Reference series and finished in a choice of satin black veneer, vinyl walnut or limited edition satin white finishes, the AE100 is sure to look good wherever you choose to place it while delivering sound that replicates its compact size.
