The CG-954 Wildfire glaze is ideal for decorative ceramics, vases, bowls and other creative projects. The versatile effects allow you to customize your designs and give them a professional finish. At 1015°C, Wildfire is an opaque orange base glaze with large yellow crystals that bloom and small black speckles. At 1305°C the base glaze remains - the crystals fade and melt. Increased fluidity. Application: Shake and stir well before each application to distribute the crystals in the glaze. Use a fan brush and apply 2-3 even coats on fired ceramics (Cone 04, 1060 °C). Allow to dry between coats. During the application of the third layer, crystals may need to be redistributed to ensure even coverage. Avoid placing crystals near the bottom of the workpiece as the crystals may run due to their flow properties. Allow to dry well. Fire the glaze at Cone 06/05 (999 °C - 1046 °C).
