The Homematic IP Wired input module - 16-fold connects pushbuttons, switches or contacts by bus via 16 independent inputs with the Homematic IP smart home system. The independently usable inputs thus enable, for example, the integration of light switches, push buttons, wired window contacts and much more.
The input module has a special function for the use of mains voltage pushbuttons or switches. To prevent corrosion and possible functional limitations of the pushbuttons or switches, a "corrosion protection" can be activated for each input. This ensures that an increased current flows briefly through the pushbutton or switch when it is actuated. The current pulse counteracts corrosion. The function is deactivated at the factory and can be switched on separately for each channel.
Screwless connection of the bus lines is achieved by easy-to-use spring-loaded terminals and prefabricated bus cables with MOLEX Ultra-Fit connectors. The standby energy consumption of the Homematic IP Wired input module is a particularly low 60 milliwatts.
A Homematic IP Wired Access Point is required to operate the input module. Installation and operation can be carried out locally via the CCU3 control panel and, in the future, alternatively via the cloud solution with the Homematic IP Access Point (free app control). Both are also possible, for example on the construction site, directly on the device without an Internet connection. For this purpose, the Homematic IP Wired input module offers a large, illuminated display and device buttons.
