Homematic IP Starter Set Smoke alarm

The Homematic IP Starter Set smoke alarm not only reliably reports smoke gas developments within your own four walls, but also via the free app to your smartphone. In addition to the Homematic IP Access Point, which represents the center of every Homematic IP Smart Home, the Set also includes three Homematic IP smoke alarms. For commissioning, only the access point has to be connected to the Internet and the smoke alarms have to be installed on the ceilings. Setup is conveniently done via a free smartphone app. Unlike most other smoke alarms, this one comes with numerous innovative new features. For example, all smoke alarms operated in a Homematic IP system work together collectively - so if a fire is detected in the basement, for example, the smoke alarms on other floors and rooms also report the danger. In addition, the detectors warn not only acoustically via siren, but also via built-in LED emergency lighting, which can also serve as a visual aid in heavily smoky rooms. The power supply is provided by two permanently installed lithium batteries, which can supply the smoke alarm with power for up to 10 years. If the power fails, the smoke alarms remain directly networked with each other even without Homematic IP access point and are therefore fully operational. Thanks to the easy expandability, up to 40 smoke alarms can be operated with one Homematic IP Access Point if required. In addition, the Homematic IP system offers devices for lighting control as well as numerous components for alarm signalling and heating control. The Homematic IP starter Set smoke alarm can be extended thus also problem-free with movement detectors, alarm sirens, thermostats and all other Homematic IP products. For this purpose, only the required components must be purchased and taught in a few steps.

The Homematic IP access point connects the Homematic IP Cloud, which is located in Germany, in encrypted form to the Homematic IP products in the user's own home. This means that the Homematic IP components can be controlled both locally within the user's own four walls and remotely via smartphone. Since no personal data is requested during setup, the user remains anonymous despite the use of a cloud solution.

The Homematic IP smoke alarm reliably detects smoke in the room air with its optical scattered light sensor unit. The innovative smoke alarm works thereby networked with other Homematic IP smoke alarms, whereby in case of fire all smoke alarms can warn of the impending danger. In addition, a warning message is sent to the user via the app in the form of a push message. Two permanently installed lithium batteries supply the smoke alarm with energy for up to 10 years.
