The Angora's Finest from LOTUS YARNS comes from certified farms, which guarantees that only the combed out hair is processed in this quality. Combing out is done about three times a year, the hair grows back. The fur is neither shorn nor plucked. That's why Angora's Finest from Lotus Yarns looks and feels a little different than comparable products. But when knitted, the unmistakable fluff of Angora unfolds. To give the fine hairs support, the thread has a so-called "soul" of nylon around which the angora is spun. The advantage: the thread is stable and only the soft angora touches the skin. The air chambers inside the hair allow angora to absorb up to 60% of its own weight in moisture and transfer it to the outside. In addition, like all natural animal fibers, it has self-cleaning properties.

Choosing the right needle size is important with this quality. If the angora is knitted too tightly, it tends to felt; if it is knitted too loosely, the hairs have less hold and come loose more quickly. Therefore, we recommend the above needle size so that Angora's Finest can develop to its full potential.
