Description

2nd class InterRegio control cab coach, type Bimdzf 269.0, of the Deutsche Bahn.
  • Train run Trier - Innsbruck
  • Perfectly matches the electric locomotive 103 233, items 7500157, 7510157 and 7520157
  • Function decoder for light change (white/red) for both analogue and digital operation

In the summer timetable of 1991, Deutsche Bundesbahn put the high-speed line Mannheim - Stuttgart into operation. In addition to the new ICE trains, the newly introduced InterRegio lines 26 Saarbrücken - Lindau and 27 Karlsruhe - Nuremberg also travelled this route. The coaches on this line and line 28 Karlsruhe - Stuttgart were fitted with vacuum toilets with the silver-coloured water filler necks that are also clearly visible on the outer wall of the model. Due to the numerous changes of direction in Stuttgart, Munich and Friedrichshafen, these lines were equipped with control-cab coaches from 1995 in order to speed up the processes there.

The IR 461 from Trier to Innsbruck travelled a considerable part of its route in Austria from Lindau. At that time, traction was provided by the 1044 series, which hauled the IR 461 over the famous Arlberg route until it was cancelled in June 2001.
