Description
This is an old vintage from the Maison Baron Gaston Legrand, from 1971.
It is during its long ageing that this armagnac has been able to develop all its aromas.
In 1998, Cognac Lhéraud expanded and diversified by acquiring Baron Gaston Legrand, which had been a traditional Armagnac producer in Lannepax, in the Bas-Armagnac appellation, for over 120 years.
The well-preserved buildings, cellars and historic stills are a guarantee of quality, enabling the best possible vinification and distillation of the grape varieties grown, such as Ugni Blanc, Baco, Folle Blanche and Colombard.
The distillation of Armagnac differs from that of Cognac in its "continuous distillation" process.
Marking excellence, all Baron Gaston Legrand Armagnacs are aged in typical barrels made of Gascony oak and Limousin black oak. The estate specializes in the production and maturing of fine vintage Armagnacs. Armagnacs dating back to 1888 can be found in the Lhéraud family's private cellar.
