What age are the Big Friends for?
The Little and Big Friends from Affenzahn differ in size, weight and subdivision. The "Big Friends" are suitable for children from the age of 3. With 8 liters of capacity, they offer twice as much space as the Little Friends. Thanks to additional pockets (flexible front pocket, outside pockets for drinking bottles, treasure pockets) everything finds its place. And with the Velcro paws that can be velcroed to different places, there's definitely no chance of getting bored.

What makes the Big Friends special?
The Big Friends from Affenzahn accompany children as friends through everyday kindergarten life. With their various playful elements, they are fun to play with and ensure that boredom does not arise. Parents are won over by the Great Friends' diverse functions, ergonomic fit and conscientious manufacturing. In a children's backpack test in June 2019, the consumer magazine ÖKO-TEST put 15 kindergarten backpacks from various brands under the microscope, including the Big Friend Theo Tiger from Affenzahn. The Big Friend was awarded the top grade of "Very Good".

What is the best way to clean the Affenzahn children's backpack?
The materials we use for our Affenzahn children's backpacks are water and dirt repellent. If dirt does accumulate, the children's backpacks are easy to clean. The Affenzahn products can be cleaned with 40°C warm water without any worries. We recommend that you take the term "hand wash" literally and clean the Affenzahn backpacks in a wash bowl (or under the shower) with a sponge and a mild detergent only in the dirty areas. We do not recommend washing in a washing machine. Since our materials have a water column of at least 1500 mm and are therefore highly water repellent, the water cannot penetrate the fabric, but flows past it.

What materials are used in the Big Friends of Affenzahn?
Affenzahn uses fabrics that are made of 50% recycled PET bottles. Six PET bottles are used for the Big Friend. Affenzahn uses fabrics certified by bluesign®. This ensures that harmful chemicals are avoided along the entire production process.

How sustainable are the Affenzahn backpacks?

This includes fair wages and working hours for the employees of the production partners.
