The first of its active ingredients is hyaluronic acid, a substance naturally present in the human body that tends to decrease with age. Sodium PCA is naturally present in our body as a hydrating agent. As we age, as with hyaluronic acid, it tends to decrease and is one of the factors of skin aging. It has a structure that allows it to bind and retain water very well, which makes it an excellent moisturizer and an important anti-aging factor. Among its recognized capacities is its remarkable ability to improve the epidermal absorption of other functional substances present in various cosmetic products. Given its hydrating capacity, it is often used in formulations in combination, as in this case, with hyaluronic acid, to increase the retention effect of water molecules.
The description of the active ingredients, even in the case of the shower gel, as in the case of the super-moisturizing fluid cream, ends with acylglutamate, a substance that is naturally present on our skin, namely pyroglutamic acid, or PCA. It plays a role of primary importance in the mechanism of hydration of the skin.
