Description

The Sunline Siglon PE is a fishing line made in Japan and very tightly braided especially for modern artificial lure fishing. It has a very smooth and uniform surface structure. This creates little friction in the rings, resulting in good casting distances and quiet line running noise. The Siglon PE has excellent casting properties on spinning and baitcasting reels.

The Sunline Siglon PE X4 is a brand new, Japanese-made, quad-braided line that Sunline has developed specifically for European anglers and their demands. Siglon PE combines all the characteristics that a very good, modern braided line should have.

In the production of the Siglon PE, four very high quality raw fibers of the specially designed for this line and so-called "EX-PE" polyethylene fiber are very tightly and extremely accurately braided together. Since this is done within a novel braiding process, the cross-sectional area of the line is reduced, resulting in very thin line diameters.

In addition, thanks to the very tight braiding, the Siglon PE has only ultra-low elongation, making it highly sensitive. Thus, bites and ground contacts are passed directly and precisely to the angler.

Sunline Siglon PE: Perfect braided line for artificial lure fishing.

As you would expect from Sunline lines, this braiding process is optimized for optimum roundness and a very even surface structure of the line. The Siglon PE is therefore pleasantly round and does not flatten even in later use. In addition, this braided line is very smooth. On the one hand, it lies well on the reel, and on the other hand, this significantly reduces friction in the rod rings.

Thanks to the low friction, the Siglon PE glides quietly through the rings and allows high casting distances. To further improve handling on the reel and casting performance, the line has a comparatively high stiffness. This ensures that it does not wrap around the rings so quickly, even on windy days.

Even on the baitcasting reel, the Siglon PE has excellent casting characteristics due to the aforementioned stiffness. Handling on the BC was one of the points Sunline paid special attention to when developing this new braided line.

All these values are achieved in the Siglon PE not by a particularly thick coating, but by high-quality materials and the elaborate braiding process. After the actual braiding process, the surface of the line is already very smooth and round, so that a thinly applied coating is sufficient to finish the surface of the line.

Properties of Siglon PE at a glance:
  • Developed especially for modern artificial lure fishing
  • Uniform and round line surface: Very smooth
  • Low friction in the rod rings: Quiet
  • High stiffness: Long casts and stress-free, even on the BC reel
  • Ultra low stretch: Highly sensitive, direct feedback on ground contacts and bites
  • Reliable load ratings

When used on the water, the Siglon PE behaves reliably at all times, as usual. The line carries what the breaking strain specifications promise. This allows the angler to concentrate fully on the essentials, i.e. fishing as such and presenting the bait, without having to worry about the line. Even with thinner diameters selected pike and zander never pose problems for the line.

As always, Sunline also makes sure that the Siglon PE is easy to knot and that the knots really hold.
