Plaisir Organic loose tea Earl Grey Blue Flower (Black tea)

Organic Earl Grey is a classic black tea composition with natural bergamot aroma. For this blend, fine black teas from Ceylon and Yunnan were combined and lightly refined with fine bergamot flavor from France.

In 1833, Earl Grey, the Earl of "Howick Hall", as British Prime Minister, lifted the East Indian Company's price monopoly in the tea trade with China. The tea faced long voyages from overseas to royal England, during which musty and tarry tastes from the holds could penetrate into the leaves. Thus, the originally pure tea was already enriched in China with fine oils of bergamot, a citrus plant. This protective, additional fragrance is still responsible for the popular name, which stands for the finest English tea.

Preparation recommendation:
We recommend 1-2 teaspoons (2.5 - 6 gr.) to prepare 300 ml of tea. Earl Grey also tolerates higher temperatures. We recommend 90 - 100° C hot water.
