GIRASOL MySol Wild Berry with a buckle hip belt (Halfbuckle)

The MySol® is an alternative or addition to a wrap, allowing you to carry your child from newborn to toddlerhood safely, comfortably, and ergonomically in front of you and on your back.

The MySol® was developed by Girasol in collaboration with experienced babywearing consultants, lovingly woven and sewn by small artisan workshops in Guatemala:

To ensure the MySol® brings long-lasting joy, it is designed to grow with your child: the seat between the legs is continuously and easily adjustable — important for achieving the M-position and promoting healthy hip development—especially in the first year of life.

Something very special is the patented double tunnel: the back panel can be extended so that the carrier still fits securely and comfortably after the first major growth spurts. The hip belt can be threaded into the lower tunnel from around clothing size 74/80 onwards.

In the buckle hip belt variant you obtain a so-called Half Buckle. Especially when wearing on the back (possible from head control of your baby), using a buckle hip belt is easier. If different people carry the MySol®, the buckle hip belt must be adjusted to the wearer each time—that takes only a few seconds.

The MySol® is made from two layers of the high-quality cross-weave wrap fabric, which hugs the wearer like a second skin and provides the optimal support.

The integrated, adjustable hood keeps the little head when sleeping and protects from the sun, the neck area can be regulated for width. Padded shoulder straps as well as a padded and stabilized hip belt make the MySol® comfortable for the wearers.

We deliberately avoided complex adjustment options in the development, instead including a relieving chest strap for back carrying and a practical hip pocket for important small items such as a wallet, keys, smartphone etc.

We are proud to present our collection dyed entirely with plant-based colors. We are especially pleased because it brings together two traditional Maya techniques and thus secures the care and passing on of the tradition.

We were able to partner with a small cooperative of Tz’utujil Maya with their traditional knowledge of plant dyeing for a collaboration and we are very happy about the collaboration!

Thus we now have a baby carrier made from 100% untreated cotton, dyed exclusively with the power of nature, handcrafted.

Please note that plant-based colors can never be 100% lightfast. Depending on the plant used, the color may be a little lighter, sometimes a bit stronger. But that is what natural products are all about – that is not a quality defect!

The Mysol Avocado is dyed with the avocado plant.
