The reptile cave allows easy observation of reptiles and amphibians while they are in their hiding and sleeping place, without opening the terrarium and disturbing the animals. Digging out animals by removing the substrate and terrarium decoration is an underestimated stressor that is now completely eliminated. The rock cover can be removed from the outside of the tank to observe the hiding and sleeping animals. The two pieces are held together by strong magnets through the glass. The rock is insulated to keep the tunnel system cooler than the ambient temperature inside the terrarium. Moistened moss or substrate can be placed inside the reptile cave to keep it moist.
