ETYEKI KÚRIA Red 2019

"Sopron has better tolerated the vagaries of the weather in the last two years" - Sándor Mérész. Merlot (60%) and Kékfrankos (30%) harvested on the cool climate slopes, spiced with other varieties (Pinot Noir, Zweigelt). Classic winemaking, the majority aged in tanks, supplemented for the rest, a short passage in old barrels. Due to the emphasis on Merlot, the 2018 Red is rounder than usual, with more substance.



Ripe red and black fruits dominate the nose and palate, with notes of blackberry, black cherry and cooked spicy red plum. Along with a subtle smoky character, the spiciness of cloves completes the aromatics.
