Description

With this excellent espresso blend we are breaking new ground in the coffee trade!

Very chocolaty and nutty with little acidity and a rich crema. This is our direct import espresso. For this blend, this Blend we use our pulped natural Brazil from the Fazenda Campreste (Bob o Link project) in 2 roasting depths once lighter (more sweetness and fine fruit) once darker (chocolate, roast notes more body) a fully washed coffee from Juan (Colombia, Hacienda El Encanto) and 30% Canephora from the Craigmore Estate which with its power and its clean characteristics ensures that we have a great crema and a full body (volume).

All green coffees of this exceptional blend, have been purchased by us sustainably, fairly and transparently, directly in the origin. We know from which farm in which region our coffee comes, were ourselves on the plantations and could convince us on site of the outstanding quality, the advanced processing methods and the very good working conditions.

We buy the coffee directly from the Saldarriaga family, the Fazenda Santana in Brazil and the Craigmore Estate in India, pay them fair prices, i.e. significantly more than they would get for it on the stock exchange (about 2.5 times).

For us, the motto is simple: "Good quality = good price". The farmer in the origin, supplies us exclusively the best what you can produce and we pay you fairly. A simple calculation whose result you, as our customer can taste with every sip of this coffee while you read these lines.

Details about the growing areas:

Brazil, Fazenda Santana:

Fazenda Santana is picturesquely located near the town of Espirito Santo do Pinhal in the Mogiana region of São Paulo state. It covers about 120 hectares. Of these, about 20 hectares consist of protected forest. Among other things, freshwater fish are farmed here in the main lake. The coffee plantation is divided into different lots. The focus is on biodiversity instead of monocultures, which is very important to us personally. In the "older" lots, dating back to 1967, predominantly Mundo Novo grows, in the newer ones mainly Icatu and Catuai can be found. Recently, however, plantings of Yellow Bourbon (yellow-fruited bourbon) have also been planted.

The farm has been owned for years by Arnaldo Franco Moraes (whose family roots go back to the founders of Espírito Santo do Pinhal and to the historic owners of the farm).

Since 2015, Emilio Lopez has been supporting the farm. In the process, a new phase has been initiated. Emilio Lopez is a well-known coffee producer in El Salvador (owner of El Manzano and Ayutepeque) a specialty coffee producer and an expert in harvesting and processing techniques.

When he joined the farm in 2015, some changes and improvements were initiated. Bringing together shared values and a common vision to achieve higher quality. We have a trustful collaboration with Emilio both in El Salvador and in Brazil. The success proves us right. Through regular exchanges, we have been able to achieve an excellent quality that is certainly second to none.

India, Craigmore Estate:

This coffee comes from the Craigmore Estate, located in India - more precisely in the Coorg region (Karnataka). Complexity is the keyword for this coffee, a characteristic we would not have expected from a Canephora (a Robusta) from India. Dominant are roasted aromas as you know them from freshly baked bread, rounded off by intense spicy nuances, overall very coherent and full.

Farm: Craigmore Estate
Farm location: India, Coorg, Karnataka, Pollibetta, (foothills of the Western Ghats)
Altitude: 1100 meters
Rainfall: 50 inches (152cm) / per year
Acres: 20

Colombia, Saldrarriaga family

:

The Hacienda "La Claudina", located in the state of Antioquia, fascinates with the breathtaking landscape of the Colombian highlands. The family of Luis Fernando Saldrarriaga runs a plantation of about 60 ha in Hispania at an altitude of 1,500 to 1,750 meters. In Bolivar about 50 ha in an absolute steep slope from 1500 to 1.800 meters. Harvesting is done by hand in these steep slopes, which requires an extraordinary effort from the pickers.

Estate (Farm): La Claudina
Country of Origin: Colombia
Region: Antioquia
Type: Arabica
Variety: Caturra (Castillo)
Altitude: 1,500 m to 2,000 m
Preparation: fully washed
