Les Champs Canet 2016 - Domaine Jacques Carillon

Les Champs Canet - Domaine Jacques Carillon\The2016 Pulingy-Montrachet 1er Cru Champ Canet shows very well, unfolding in the glass with notes of lemon oil, custard, white flowers and crushed chalk. On the palate, it's medium-bodied, taut and stony, with excellent depth and structure at the core, with a racier, less meaty profile than its 2017 sibling. Again, this shows a depth and structural integrity to the bottle that I did not fully appreciate from the barrel.
