An elegant and velvety Saint-Estephe
Second wine of the historic and iconic Chateau Calon Ségur, the Marquis de Calon Ségur offers a unique expression of the great terroir of Saint-Estephe, on the Left Bank of the Bordeaux region.\Produced with respect for the philosophy that drives this prestigious Grand Cru Classé in 1855, the Marquis de Calon Ségur is a wine made from a rigorous selection of parcels with vines that are an average of 22 years old. From the vineyard to the cellar, constant attention is given by the technical teams orchestrated by Vincent Millet, technical director since 2006, with vinification carried out under the watchful eye of the experienced consultant oenologist Eric Boissenot. The Marquis de Calon Ségur is aged over a period of 17 months, 30% of which are new barrels. A great Saint-Estephe wine, the Marquis de Calon Ségur 2017 is made from a blend of Merlot (57%), Cabernet Sauvignon (38%) and Cabernet Franc (5%). A Saint-Estephe with a solar personality and a velvety roundness displaying great finesse in the mouth.
